Block Websites in Chrome Using Website Blocker Extension
To block websites in Google Chrome, you need to have an extension named Website Blocker. This extension is still in beta mode but works quite efficiently. Download and install Website Blocker Chrome extension to get started with the process.
Once installed click on website blocker icon present next to wrench icon on the top right corner.
Left mouse click will directly block the website which is open in the current chrome window. You can also set the time from between which the website should remain blocked.
If you wish to block website without opening them, then you need to right click on the website blocker icon. This will open a new tab with different options. Select the option for “Blocking Website” in the left pane and then enter the URL of website which you wish to block. One can also create custom messages for blocked websites from “Messages of when blocked” in the left pane.
Overall Website blocker is a good extension and solves the very purpose to block websites in chrome. There are few other functions like password facility for saved preferences will be soon introduced as the version gets upgraded.
