Firefox 9: What’s New
Now the main issue is what new Mozilla is going to offer in this latest version of Firefox. Well, the most significant change brought in Firefox 9 over Firefox 8 is addition of type inference to the JavaScript engine. This particular change would improve JS execution speed by 20-30%.
As far as we know IE, Safari and Chrome all lack this feature. Although it would be too early to say that Firefox has now got the fastest JavaScript performance but one thing is for sure that Firefox is definitely very close.
