This brilliant browser totally crushed Chrome, IE and Mozilla Firefox in its pre-performances. Opera thrashed all possible records set by conventional high famed browsers like Chrome and Safari which are well known for their speedy browsing experience. Few of the facts which caught our attention were usage of Carakan (new JavaScript engine), Presto 2.5(includes support for CSS3 and more HTML5 features) and Vega (Graphics library).

Opera 10.5 alpha

Opera brought a revolutionary change in their browser when they launched version 10 and now the development is turning so fast in Opera labs that they are up to this masterpiece. Few other features which Opera is concentrating in this new version are:

  • Platform Integration
  • Private Browsing
  • Non-modal Dialogs
  • Improvements in address field and search field

The layout is good and ability to open private tabs alongside public tabs is a unique and convenient feature. One more feature is its rich graphical look with Aero window. Being alpha version, Opera still have many areas to work upon like currently the build is a memory eating version and it is a bit unstable. Also if you are running WordPress or any other such journal programs then you might encounter some unexpected behavior.

Although it’s too early to predict but till the strongest JavaScript engine is available with Chrome. Let’s see Opera could beat their V8 engine or not. If you also want to try Opera 10.5 alpha then you can download it from Opera labs. Windows version is a bit improved one, Mac people have to wait for more updates from Opera team.
